Dr. Xinguo Jiang is currently a professor at the School of Transportation and Logistics of Southwest Jiaotong University. Dr. Jiang graduated from Michigan State University with a doctoral degree in the field of traffic safety; Dr. Jiang used to work for an international traffic consulting firm and the City of Fort Myers in Florida as a chief traffic engineer. Dr. Jiang is mainly engaged in the research fields such as traffic safety, low-carbon transportation, Intelligent Transportation System, and comprehensive transportation planning and design.

Dr. Jiang has published approximately 50 high-quality research papers, among which over 15 papers are indexed by SCI or SSCI as the first author or corresponding author in the top traffic safety journals. Dr. Jiang presides over a number of high-profile research projects, which are funded by China National Natural Science Funds, World Bank, Ministry of Railways, Ministry of Education, Sichuan Transportation Bureau, etc. In terms of the academic affiliations, Dr. Jiang is the committee board member of Journal of Transportation Technologies, and a peer reviewer of various international journals, e.g., Accident Analysis and Prevention(SCI), Traffic Injury Prevention (SCI)，Journal of Injury Control and Safety Promotion (SCI), Journal of Discrete Dynamics in Nature and Society (SCI), Journal of Applied Mathematics (SCI), Journal of Advances in Transportation Studies (EI)，Journal of Modern Transportation, Journal of Tongji University, Journal of Tsinghua University, Journal of Jiangsu University, and Journal of Southwest Jiaotong University.
