Song Weidong is a Full Professor in the State Key Laboratory of Explosion Science and Technology at Beijing Institute of Technology.  Prof. Song focuses on the research in impact dynamics of materials and structures, mechanics of composites and explosion mechanics. He has published more than 120 research articles, 13 patents, 13 software copyrights, 2 books and won the second prize of Beijing Science and Technology Award. Now, he is the member of International Society of Computational Mechanics, member of the professional committee on Education and Science Popularization of Beijing Society of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics, member of Youth Working Committee of Chinese Society for Composite Materials and member of the committee on Porous Materials of Chinese Materials Research Society. He has been the editorial board of International Journal of Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation as well as Nonlinear Science Letters A: Mathematics, Physics and Mechanics. He is now the editorial board of Journal of Mineral Metal and Material Engineering and Composite Materials.
