WANG Jianlong

Dr. Jianlong Wang is deputy director and professor of the Institute of Nuclear and New Energy Technology (INET), Tsinghua University, China. Professor Wang received his Ph.D. from Harbin Institute of Technology in 1993 in Environmental Chemical Engineering. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Tsinghua University from 1994 to 1996, an Associate Professor at Tsinghua University from 1996 to 1998, a Visiting Professor at the University of Leeds, UK from 1998 to 1999, an Alexander von Humboldt research fellow at the Technical University of Berlin, Germany from 2000 to 2002, and a full Professor at Tsinghua University since 2002. His research interests include (1) Bioenergy: fermentative production of hydrogen from organic waste, fermentative production of chemicals from syngas; (2) industrial wastewater treatment: biological treatment and advanced treatment, especially electron beam technology for advanced treatment of refractory wastewater; (3) the radioactive wastes: treatment, disposal, and management.

Professor Wang has authored or co-authored more than 500 papers in peer-reviewed journals (based on the Web of Science database, more than 20,000 citation times, H index = 70).
