Nazli Namazi currently working as an assistant professor of nutrition at Endocrinology and Metabolism Research Institute (EMRI) affiliated to Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran. I received my Ph.D degree from Tabriz University of Medical Sciences in 2016. Then, I spent two years at EMRI as a postdoctoral researcher (2016-2018). My main research areas are nutrition in diabetes mellitus and obesity as well as this I am interested in medicinal herbs and their effects on controlling type 2 diabetes and weight management. I have also published numerous systematic reviews and original papers in these fields. Recently, I have started joint projects with experts in Iranian traditional medicine in order to develop dietary supplements and herbal medications to control diabetes and its complications. In addition, I am a reviewer of several journals in the fields of nutrition and medicinal herbs. I also received the outstanding young researcher award at national Razi festival in 2020.
